💥 Caterpillar Inc. Board of Directors has urged shareholders to vote to reject an anti-DEI proposal presented at today’s annual meeting. The proposal from conservative shareholder activist National Center for Public Policy Research asks the company to “cease DEI efforts.”

CAT Board responded to the proposal in its proxy statement: “The proposal inappropriately attempts to restrict Caterpillar’s ability to manage its own employees, ordinary business operations and enterprise strategy.” And: “We are committed to fostering an inclusive environment and a workforce that is representative of the diverse customers and communities we serve around the globe.”

Results of today’s shareholder vote at Caterpillar TBA. Shareholders of 24 of the largest corporations in the U.S., including Costco, Apple, others, have voted to reject anti-DEI proposals in 2025, by overwhelming tallies. View DEI Scorecard
