💥 Target Board has urged shareholders to vote to reject an anti-DEI proposal at its annual meeting today. Despite Target’s DEI rollback and ensuing foot traffic decline, the proposal asks TGT to report on how “affirmative action initiatives” impact “risks related to actual and perceived discrimination.”

Target Board responded to the anti-DEI proposal from conservative National Center for Public Policy Research, writing in its proxy statement, “The proponent’s request for a risk assessment and report of Target’s purported ‘affirmative action initiatives’ is unnecessary and would not be an effective use of company resources.”
